end of the year

hi all,

just a quick "end of year"message from me, to wish you all some splendid x-mass days and off course a rocking 2009!

personally im really looking forward to 2009.
2008 was pretty good and if im keeping up the work pace of last year i think 2009 will be good as well...
with my artist album just out, im allready working on a new cd for baroque records as you all know, and i also have a bunch of singles ready to explore the world.

first up is in january my tune "ochtendgloren" [morning glory - in dutch] which i made with the mighty jalebee cartel from india. these producers are rocking hard at the moment, and found themselves just recently in the charts of pete tong.

also there will be a single release of my tune "song for sophie" which will feature on the baroque cd i am compiling. this tune is one of the most massive ones i ever made, and while testing it in some clubs recently i found myself in front of exploding crowds.... seriously, this tune is pumping! check it out on the cd or wait for the single...

after these fresh new singles some exclusive album remixes are coming out; i asked some of my friends like pako & frederik, matt rowan, bluesparkle, philogresz and liftshift [to name but a few] to remix some of the tracks of my album. well, i can promise you these remixes are absolutely stunning! they range from minimal techno to sick deep psy-prog and i plan to release them one by one early 2009, starting in february with the pako & frederik remix, and than every 3 or 4 weeks a fresh new remix.

so, no need to say im keeping myself busy with the new year in sight.
im a lot (!) in the studio these days, and plan to continue this as long as i am inspired. you have periods of doing nothing while nothing seems to work and you have periods in which anything you make seems to fit nicely with other ideas. and the last case is the matter right now..

next to producing i hope to play out as many gigs as i can do, but in these days of economic crisis even promotors are very carefull in who they book... big names cost a lot of money, but they also guarantee a full club, so the "smaller" or more underground names dont really benefit from this.
what i can confirm is that i will play a lot in club patronaat in my hometown haarlem in 2009, and i also have a confirmed gig in belgium in june. next to that im having serious talks with clubs in kosove and turkey and im sure some of these will be confirmed soon.
oh well, just keep an eye on my agenda and you know where i will be.

as said, all the best wishes for 2009, and lets hope it will be a good year for the music we love..
